Frequently Asked Questions - Brazilian Waxing, Lifts, & Tints
How long should my hair be before waxing?

For best results, hair should be about ¼ inch long (roughly the length of a grain of rice). This allows the wax to grip the hair properly and ensures a smoother result.

What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.

Can I bring my child?

Absolutely. The waiting room offers comfortable seating, toys, books, and a TV. If you prefer, your child is also welcome to join you in the treatment room during your appointment.

Is there parking?

Yes. There’s tons of free parking along both sides of the road.

Will waxing cause ingrown hairs?

Regular exfoliation and proper aftercare help reduce ingrown hairs. I’m happy to recommend products and routines to keep your skin smooth.

Is waxing safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. I use high-quality waxes and proper techniques to minimize irritation. If you have sensitive skin, allergies, or are using prescription skincare products, please let me know before your appointment.

How often should I get waxed?

Most clients return every 4–6 weeks, depending on hair growth. Consistent waxing can lead to finer, softer regrowth over time.

What wax do you use?

Bushbalms Premium hard wax beads

Why do you use hard wax?

Hard wax is gentler on the skin because it adheres to the hair, not the skin. This makes it ideal for sensitive areas like the bikini and Brazilian, resulting in less irritation and a more comfortable experience.

What should I avoid after waxing?

For 24–48 hours, avoid:

  • Hot baths or saunas
  • Intense exercise
  • Sun exposure or tanning
  • Tight clothing on the waxed area
Is Brazilian waxing painful?

Some discomfort is normal, especially during your first few visits. The good news: hard wax makes the process quicker and more tolerable, and discomfort usually decreases with regular waxing.

Can I get a Brazilian wax on my period?

Yes. You can still receive a Brazilian wax during your menstrual cycle. Please wear a tampon or menstrual cup, and note that sensitivity may be slightly higher at this time.

What should I do before my Brazilian wax?
  • Gently exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment
  • Avoid shaving between waxes
  • Arrive clean and dry (no lotions or oils)
Is Brazilian waxing safe during pregnancy?

Yes, Brazilian waxing is generally safe during pregnancy. Skin may be more sensitive, so please let us know so we can adjust as needed.

Is Brazilian waxing awkward?

Not at all. Your comfort and privacy is my main priority. My services are professional, respectful, and judgment-free—this is what I do every day.
